A Bloom Scout Shares Her Experience …
“ I was a first-time scout for Buffalo in Bloom in 2008. My neighbor and I decided to scout in
a part of the city we were both familiar with but do not live –Kaisertown. We both loved the
experience for a variety of reasons. It gave us an opportunity to get acquainted with a part of
Buffalo we don’t know as well as our own West Side neighborhood, to see a huge number of
lovely front-yard gardens, to meet enthusiastic gardeners who take great pride in their homes,
and also to build a sense of civic pride. Every garden you bloom as a scout is another opportunity
to thank a person for contributing time and energy to making Buffalo a more beautiful
place.”
